古巴吉士纳蝶牌的诞生，是据说有一天当大师正在禅定修行，有一只大蝴蝶飞到他身上，伏于其肩部，跟着就没有离开，好像跟他一同修行，之后大师灵感一触，便开始尝试以蝴蝶为纹的佛牌，经加持后的蝶牌，帮善信改善人缘。
大师解释这蝴蝶的纹路，其实是一男一女的天神所化，能让佩戴者改善人缘，进而招来财运，而这两位藏于蝴蝶佛牌中的天神，则是印度中最大天神“湿婆神”及其妻子“加利女神”。
